When an oxidic system, vitreous or crystalline is subject to a thermal treatment, a series of modifications for steric characteristics at atomic level take place (number of coordination, inter-nuclear distances, angles between orbital bond). Consequently, we expect that these changes to influence a series of properties dependent of system structure at this level.
In the paper a tentative of quantitative appreciation for thermal treatment effect on basicity of some oxidic system is presented.
For the beginning, the references are made depending on the simplest silicatic system, SiO2 respectively. The temperature effect on steric characteristics and implicitly on basicity percentage is pointed out.
