This paper presents the research results regarding processing, characterization and behavior of carbon coated alloys. Metallic support, CoCrTi and TiAlNb alloys, was developed and produced using classical molding technique and then was carbon coated using a graphitized material by a magnetron sputtering device in different conditions. The materials were characterized by mechanical, structural and electrochemical point of view.

The determined characteristics are: electric conductivity/resistivity, mechanic strength, and porosity of carbonic material, surface morphology was deeply studied using optical microscopy and atomic force microscopy.
