A wet production route was used by coprecipitation to obtain the ZnO – based oxide mixture, doped with Sb2O3, Bi2O3,MnO2, CoO and Cr2O3 . The initial cobalt and chromium carriers were the crystal hydrates chlorides CoCl2.6H2O and CrCl3.6H2O, respectively and the initial carriers for the other metallic species were oxide powders. As dissolving agent for the above mentioned precursors concentrate hydrochloric acid was used; the coprecipitation was realized using an aqueous diethyl amine solution. The obtaining coprecipitate was dried, fired, crashed and manufactured. The samples manufactured by press were sintered. For the chemical analyses and dispersion control of the processed mixes, chemical and thermal methods were used as well as grain size analyses and specific surface determinations. The obtained non-linear resistors during the investigations were tested for their specific characteristic. Their values were examined correlating them with the composition, preparation, conditions and the applied heat treatment.Taking into account the applied procedures and the obtained results is possible this to circumscribe from view point the non-linear resistors manufacture, the adequate compositions and processing parameters.
